‘Untethered’ Original

‘Untethered’ is a piece that began its journey over 12 years ago, inspired by a photo I took at the Atlanta Aquarium. After learning how to do encaustic art in a high school art class, I got some beeswax of my own and started this piece. Encaustic art is when you use melted wax, heat and pigments to paint. It’s a wildly messy, wildly fun process that I look forward to continuing to work with one day! This piece is 16”x20” and is made with beeswax and oil paint on a wooden canvas board.
